Feel the melancholy of the traditional Portuguese music style fado at a live performance from charismatic expert of the genre, singer Mariza.
Born in Mozambique to a Portuguese father and Mozambican mother, Mariza was brought up in Mouraria, one of the traditional fado neighbourhoods of Lisbon. Mariza has commissioned new fados and expanded the form in her collaborations with Spanish and Brazilian musicians.
The singer is an eloquent ambassador for this much-loved Portuguese style: if you’re going to see fado, see Mariza.
